ABHG: «Over the past three years, the volume of the hotel market in Lviv increased by 39%»

According to the results of the marketing research of ArtBuild Hotel Group, in September 2017, 53 hotels with a total number of rooms in 3116 were fixed in Lviv. In the last three years, these indicators have increased by 15 hotels and 502 rooms (39% and 19% respectively).

The largest number of new hotel facilities appeared in the categories budget, economy and midscale (for 4, 4 and 5 hotels respectively). The largest increase in the number of rooms occurred in hotels of categories economy, midscale and upper midscale (186 units in the first two categories and 135 units in the latter).

The number of hotels in the categories upscale and upper upscale has remained unchanged since 2013. High-quality facilities that meet the international standards of luxury, in September 2017 in Lviv is not fixed.

If you analyze the structure of the hotel market in Lviv by the number of rooms, then 84.81% belongs to budget, economy and midscale hotels, and 15.19% to hotels above the average price range (upper midscale, upscale and upper upscale).

As of September 2017, Lviv has 2 hotels under the international brand: Ramada (midscale) and Ibis Styles (economy). Ramada hotel for 103 rooms was opened in 2012, hotel Ibis with 77 rooms - in 2015.

The average annual occupancy of Lviv hotels of large format reached 68-73% in 2016-2017. Less professional hotels in average for the year are filled by 35-55%. These indicators are higher than the average for Ukraine.

According to ABHG, subject to the completion of 9 announced today hotel projects, the total supply of hotels in Lviv until 2019 will increase by another 17%.
